A – UN (あーうん), HARMONY

Temple-Sunset-JapanOne of the prime foundation stones of the traditional Japanese Culture and modern Japan is harmony through consonance.  Within the two Japanese syllables (あ, A andうん, Un) lies the infinite and meticulous details of what is underlined by that previous, simple and effortless sentence.

These two syllables, albeit transfers from the Chinese language with roots in Sanskrit, have gained bona fide definitions and forms within the Japanese language and society.  However, one should not look for meanings in their kanjis that exist purely due to transliteration from Chinese.  Hence, they are generally used with one of the phonetic alphabets, hiragana, in written Japanese. Temple-Sunset-JapanGeleneksel Japon Kültürü’nün ve modern Japonya’nın en temel yapıtaşlarından biri uyum, ahenktir. Bu çok basit cümlenin detayı ise yine sayfalarca yazsak kâfi gelmeyecek iki hece ile sembolik antropolojide yerini almıştır: あ/A veうん/Un

Bu iki hece Japonca’ya, Sanskritçe kökten Çince üzerinden bir transliterasyon olarak girmiş ancak kavramsal olarak Japonca’da ve Japon toplumunda orijinal bir anlam ve kullanımlar kazanmıştır. Kanjileri var ise de Çince transliterasyondan Japonca’ya geçtiğinden, kullanılan kanjilerde anlam aranmamalıdır, zira ilgisizdir. Bu sebeple yazılı Japonca’da genelde fonetik alfabelerden biri olan hiragana ile kullanılır. Devamını oku
